I had experience the farming life in a village but I consider, because of my personality, it has not been very complicated, nevertheless, I recognizer there were some situation quite difficult to me, such to get accustomed to words, actions.π³ I think the cultural trauma occurs sooner or later, when one live in a place other than one's own place. Sometime it may be not only another cultural activities but also living another country with new traditions, costumes, rule, religions and language too .
There are some traditions that can not for a person in several filed of Sri Lanka, That field was the thing that I had also experience . That is the field of farming.π Because of the period of this Corona pandemic I have a chance to joined my village farming activities.πͺπͺ I remember that the words day they talked.π€π€
In the field of farming, they called "Ambaruwa" to the cow.π They called "Ipanella" to the remaining part after the harvesting.πΎ Foe the straw, they called "Maduwan" and foe the elcel broom in our day today life. they called "Bola aththa" Moreover the place that harvest is called "Kmatha". While I support to threshing the harvest to the villagers, I heard that one of my uncle said that "Let's stop now & had the "Muththettu". I was amaized what was that. π³π³Actually it was our lunch.π However I tasted a delicious "Muththettu" with my friends & the villagers on that day. πππͺ
